Sponsors

A paid placement is labeled Sponsored or Featured. The Sponsored label on the site links to the disclosure page. A sponsor can appear in the bar at the top of the site and as a Sponsored block in a newsletter. It is separate from the guides.

A featured listing is labeled and pinned inside its own category. It is not a higher place in a comparison.

There is also a free review. Free submissions are read in the order they arrive. Plan on about 10 business days. Fast-track is the paid review on the submit page.

Affiliates

Some links on ShipSecurely earn a commission. If you sign up through one, we may be paid. You do not pay extra. The price is the price the company charges someone who arrives without our link.

Each of those links carries the label (we earn a commission), in the same sentence as the link, and uses rel="sponsored nofollow noopener". When the link includes a discount, that sentence also says what you get. The Railway credit reads: Railway (we earn a commission): you get $20 in free credits.

Immediately before the first of those links, the page says: Heads up: some links here earn us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It helps keep ShipSecurely free, and it never changes what we recommend.

A commission does not change comparison order, a ranking, or what we recommend. Comparison tables stay alphabetical. Affiliate links do not appear in the scanner comparisons.

What money never buys

Rankings, verdicts, and benchmark or comparison order are never for sale. Featured status never changes benchmark or comparison order. A verdict here is the editorial conclusion: a severity, a recommendation, or what a guide says to do.

A featured listing pins a tool to the top of its category and adds a Featured label. It does not change the order of any comparison table. Comparisons stay alphabetical.

Payment does not change a guide, a severity, a price, or a verified date. Money does not buy a higher place in a comparison, and it does not change the order of the guides.
